JW Young Fly Reel 3 3/8" Pape NewcastleFor sale here is a JW Young 3 3 8" fly reel made for retailer Pape Newcastle. Stong check. Slight "DM" initials scratched into the winding plate. Correct original smooth brass foot is 2. 7" long. No line grooves. Erinoid handle spins but is stiff the screw is tight so I didn't force it. There is a slight amount of spindle play. Reel weighs 7. 6 oz. This is a very nice fishing reel if you can get the handle off to clean inside.

The wallet measures 6" x 3 1/2"

The reel is currently set up for right hand retrieve but can be changed to left easily

The Hardy company who's name speaks for it's self is one of the oldest purveyors of fly fishing tackle

The included jaws are designed for hook sizes #2/0 - #28
